Event Information
During the Fall 2024 StreetWise Partners Navigating the Bridge program, one-time volunteers will work with small groups of mentees during targeted sessions to help them understand and develop essential skills that they will need to successfully complete their job search.

Each session will include short facilitator-led content reviews and facilitator-led discussions followed by time for volunteers to work with small groups of mentees to complete activities and lead discussions focusing on the topic for that week.

We are currently accepting applications for the following Fall 2024 opportunities:
  • Goal Setting & Job Search - October 1st: In this session, volunteers will help small groups of mentees develop skills in creating SMART Goals and in searching for available job opportunities.
  • Networking: Elevator Pitch & Informational Interviews - October 15th: In this session, volunteers will help small groups of mentees to develop an elevator pitch and conduct mock informational interviews.
  • Online Presence- November 5th: In this session, volunteers will help small groups of mentees to develop the skills they will need to improve their LinkedIn profile and to map their full networks.
  • Interview Prep - November 19th: In this session, volunteers will help small groups of mentees to develop the skills they will need to address discriminatory interview questions and to address general questions they may have regarding interviews.
  • After the Offer - December 10th: In this session, volunteers will help small groups of mentees to plan for how to successfully transition to their first professional role after accepting a job offer.
